KUCHING — Throughout the five Sundays in May, EMPOWERED hosted weekly Prayer Gatherings over Google Meet to commemorate our Blessed Mother Mary during the month of the Rosary and pray for the intentions of the world.
Among the intentions include praying for the Coronavirus pandemic, healthcare workers and frontliners, leaders of the world and our Church, peace in the world, people who are suffering, and personal intentions.
Based on the dates of the weekend, the group also remembered mothers on Mothers’ Day, educators on Teachers’ Day, and current issues. The youths took turns to share their prayer intentions as well.
The prayer gatherings usually started off with meditation on the Word of God, followed by intercessions before the Rosary prayer. The gathering ended with a short catch-up fellowship among those present.
