KUCHING — As Youth Alpha Series with EMPOWERED heads into the topic on How Can I Be Filled with the Holy Spirit, the group gathered virtually over Zoom platform on 7th August, Friday evening for a time of sharing on who is the Holy Spirit. The youths then shared their individual experience and encounter with the Holy Spirit and in that way, learn more about the Holy Spirit.
After a time of sharing, the group spent some time in prayer over the prayer petitions from the members and concluded the evening with a time of communal worship and prayer. Despite it happening online, the youths shared that they experienced the Holy Spirit’s movement, felt the presence of God and were comforted, granted peace and joy.
Aside from Youth Alpha meets, the Dance and Drama team also gathers weekly on Wednesdays for an evening of rosary prayer followed by a catch-up session or games to instil a life of prayer and build a community within the team.
In addition, the Empowered community would also offer prayers for specific intentions through prayer requests and on the global happenings such as COVID-19 Pandemic and the recent port explosion at Beirut, Lebanon.
