KUCHING — ‘Wonderfully Made’, an annual event for Sunday school children at Blessed Sacrament Church, centres around discussions on Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body while emphasising the appreciation of the body and the sanctity of relationships.

Organised by the Bible & Faith Formation Committee (BFFC) Sunday School in collaboration with the Kuching Archdiocesan Youth Commission (KAYC), it was held on 17 August 2024.

“To me, sex is…” was a session where participants wrote down their personal thoughts and understanding of sex. They were also given the chance to discuss and share their perspectives on what sex means to them in gender-specific groups.

Lessons through skits

The lessons through skits showcased contrasting perspectives on sex, relationships, and marriage, highlighting both the negative views prevalent today and more thoughtful, insightful approaches.

The event concluded with a Q&A session where Fr Ramon Borja, SDB and Julian Sim, the KAYC youth minister, responded to anonymous questions from participants. They shared their experiences and insights as men, offering perspectives from both personal and religious contexts.
