KUCHING — Approaching the celebrations of All Saints and All Souls in our Church, a Youth Gathering with the theme ‘What Would Jesus Do At Funerals’ was organised on Friday, 25 October. The gathering began with a simple ice-breaker and followed by a praise and worship session by the Music Team.
Emmanuel then animated the evening by sharing his experience of facing the passing of his loved ones and then relating it to how Jesus experienced the death of Lazarus in the Bible. He then proceeded to invite all in attendance to offer up in prayers the souls of their loved ones who have passed on with a simple gesture of writing their names and lighting a candle for them and placing them at the altar.
The session concluded with a time of silence, reflection, and a closing song together.
