KUCHING — The English session Sunday School of Blessed Sacrament Church recently organised a series of field trips for their students to the History Gallery of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kuching, at the Archdiocesan Curia Cathedral Pastoral Centre (ACCPC).

A total of 56 students from three groups – Levels 7, 8 and 9B visited the Gallery over three weekends – 28 July, 4 August, and 25 August, respectively. They were accompanied by their faith facilitators and assistants.

Each visit lasted for about two hours. The students were warmly welcomed at the Gallery, where after a short prayer and briefing, they went on a guided tour to check out the storyboards and items on display.

These were trips to familiarise them with the formation of Christianity, so they were told to read and understand the notes attached to the displays, after which they had to answer a short quiz.

Some students found the Gallery fascinating, especially the relics and the stories of the priests. They learnt a lot more than they could ever have through their text books, and would like to bring family and friends to visit the Gallery.
