Bau — St Stephen’s Parish held its Annual Parish Sales on 6 October at Fr Joachim Pang’s Hall.
According to Jeffry Rase, the Organising Chairman of the event, the main objective of the sale was to raise funds in aid of St Stephen’s Church, Bau re-painting project, and also for the local church’s spiritual, social welfare activities and for other ministries.
The event was also to foster greater fellowship among the members of the congregation as well as with members from other parishes who came to patronise the sale.
About 45 stalls were set up and manned by members of the parish groups, ministries and communities selling local delicacies, drinks, handicrafts, religious items and a variety of attractive items.
There was also free health screening by Catholic Nurses Guild Bau led by Sister Metias Migos, and a photography booth set up by Micklong Bridal Studio.
Among the highlights were karaoke singing and lucky draws. Attractive prizes were all donated by well-wishers and parishioners.
The Parish wishes to put on record, words of thanks and gratitude to other churches who had lent their support especially in helping with the sales of coupons and donations in cash and in kind, and who had participated in one way or another for the success of all the activities and events that had taken place.
