BAU — St Stephen’s Church in Bau recently celebrated its Patron Saint’s Feast Day with a series of joyous events. While the official Feast Day of St Stephen falls on 26 December each year, the parish commemorated it on 29 December 2024.

There was a special evening Mass on 26 December, presided over by Fr Augustine Jepy. The celebrations extended beyond the feast day itself, culminating in a grand gathering on the night of 29 December.

This festive occasion served as a triple celebration, honouring the 12th Anniversary of Fr Peter Liston’s priesthood and the birthdays of both Fr Augustine Jepy and Fr Paul Herry.

The celebration, held at Fr Joachim Pang’s Hall, saw a remarkable turnout of nearly 1,000 parishioners. A delicious feast, prepared by various churches within the St Stephen’s Parish, added to the festive atmosphere.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of certificates to several past chairmen of the Parish Council (KGKs), recognising their dedicated service, with a special tribute to the four longest-serving chairpersons.

The event showcased the vibrant community spirit within the parish, fostering fellowship and strengthening bonds among parishioners while honouring those who have contributed significantly to its growth and development.
