SERIAN — SK St Teresa was built in 1942 by the Catholic Mission. Many VIPs, Ministers, politicians, Government officers and successful businessmen received their primary education in this school.
The school buildings were found unsuitable for students and teachers and so for safety reasons in the year 2000, the Catholic Mission being the owner of the land, requested the Education Department to terminate the use of the school buildings and to return the site to the mission.
The site of the school was eventually returned to the Catholic Mission on 30 September 2021 to make way for further development.
On 6 July 2023, the concrete wall with the school sign was pulled down to mark her educational service being completed and to be replaced by a better educational institution, the 4-storey Pastoral Centre.
Tai Ngan Development & Contract Co. was engaged for the task of the site clearance and the earth filling works.
