SIBU (8 September) — About 500 people gathered at Sacred Heart Cathedral to recite the Glorious Mysteries on the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On the same night, Bishop Joseph Hii also blessed the Grotto in the Cathedral compound.
At a cake-cutting to celebrate the Feast, Bishop Hii also congratulated rector Fr Philip Hu and Fr David Ho as they celebrated the 14th anniversary of their priestly ordinations.
The shrine is still a work-in-progress and expected to be completed by 2025.
