KUCHING — The atmosphere was electric with gratitude and excitement at the Blessed Sacrament Church RCIA Completion gathering held on Sunday, 19 May 2024. Neophytes, their loved ones, sponsors, friends, the programme facilitators and BSC Rector Fr Leonard Yap congregated at the Dato Lawrence Chua Hall to celebrate the completion of their RCIA studies, marking a significant milestone in their faith journey.

Sharing his advice and spiritual encouragement, Fr Leonard Yap reminded neophytes to remain lifelong learners of the faith. Although they may be in different places, they would all be exercising their faith in one way or another, and he pointed out for them to keep Christ as paramount to serving God.

“God calls us to a life revealed through our catechism. You are ready to step out into the world and begin serving your ministry. Remember to be humble and learn from others, too.” he said.

A total of 17 graduates from various parts of the archdiocese completed their RCIA class and received their sacramental certificates. Commemorated with a simple lunch alongside the praise and worship led by musicians from the CSF UNIMAS Music Ministry, the highlight of the event was narratives recounted by neophytes, particularly on their RCIA journey. It was a beautiful moment for all who had persevered to cross the completion, and the celebration was a testament to their commitment and faith.
