Pope Francis and his Urbi et Orbi blessing

KUCHING  Pope Francis has made a special request for prayers for the sick and the suffering, and at the same time, thanking all who pray for those affected.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia-Singapore-Brunei (CBCMSB), has issued a letter requesting the faithful to join the Pope with the subject #PrayTogether. It states that today, Friday 27 March, at 6:00 pm (CET), the Statio Orbis including the prayer presided over by the Holy Father on the sagrato of St Peter’s Basilica, can be followed live through the Vatican News portal and App.

A simultaneous translation in Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, German, Arabic and Chinese will accompany this broadcast.

The signal will be available through Worldvision. There will be no charge for any media outlet that requests to transmit the broadcast.

The Statio Orbis will conclude with Eucharistic Benediction which will be imparted Urbi et orbi via the means of communication.

To all who unite themselves spiritually, via the media, to this moment of prayer, will be granted the plenary indulgence according to the usual conditions.
