KUCHING  A total of 55 students aged between 10-15 years from the Blessed Sacrament Church (BSC) Sunday School English session, received their First Holy Communion from Fr Albert Jacobse on 2 October 2022.

This included eight students who received their Sacrament of Baptism prior to partaking in the Sacrament of Communion.

Fr Albert in his homily, reminded parents and guardians of their role as primary formators. The Church and catechists are there to facilitate the students’ faith journey, while parents play the major role of introducing them to the faith and helping them build a relationship with God.

The First Communicants were also presented with certificates by Fr Albert at the end of Mass, after which they adjourned for a fellowship at the Church porch area to celebrate. Food and drinks were prepared by the parents and faith facilitators.
