KUCHING — Gawai Dayak 2023 at the Chapel of Mother Mary, Stutong level came to a close with the Ngiling Bidai ceremony held on 17 June 2023.
The event was joyously attended by its parishioners accompanied by its rector, Msgr William Sabang who closed the event with the cutting of the Ranyai tree, and later accompanied by the organising chairperson Juliana De Rozario and Remus Chabang, the chapel’s chairperson, in a mat rolling which symbolises the end of the ceremony.
Apart from the parishioners, Archbishop Emeritus Peter Chung and Fr Martin Wong were also present at the ceremony.
