KUCHING — The EMPOWERED Ministry kicked off the New Year 2024 with a Youth Gathering on Friday, 12 January with the theme “My Plans and God’s Plans”.
The session began with Emmanuel, the animator, who invited all in attendance to share what their goals or resolutions were for 2024 through a digital interactive tool.
Emmanuel then shared about how the plans we have may not often go as we want them to and it can lead to feelings of frustration and disappointment.
He then shared how God invites everyone into a closer relationship with Him no matter what plans we have and to always trust in Him and His love for us even though our plans do not work out.
Joining the gathering that evening were several youth leaders and volunteers from the Archdiocesan Single Adults and Youth Office (ASAYO) Kuala Lumpur namely Jacinta, Josephine, Abigail and Xavier, as well as from the Penang Diocesan Youth Network, Julio.
They were in Kuching for a mission project organised by the Malaysian Catholic Youth Ministers’ Committee (MCYMC) and hosted by the Kuching Archdiocesan Youth Commission (KAYC) over the weekend.
