As a 29-year-old female Taoist, my faith journey has been unique and full of twists and turns. I come from a family background which practises Taoism. For a long time, I found myself searching for something more, a deeper connection to the divine ever since I was 10 years old.

That all changed when I met my husband, Keith. I was introduced to the Catholic faith when I met him as a colleague back in Year 2018. Keith has always been a great instrument to the Lord, he tries to put God first before all things. He possesses a good character and has a kind behaviour to every being he touches. I fell in love with his Christian virtues, and began to understand his purpose and his religion that his family practice.

At first, I was hesitant to explore this new path due to the objections from my family. Then, I was introduced to this Catholic faith and joined RCIA back in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and then moved to Kuching and continued the RCIA at Holy Trinity Church. I delved deeper into Catholicism and found a sense of peace and purpose that was missing in me, because I have been receiving callings ever since I was a child. I have been enjoying my RCIA sessions, attending Mass regularly, praying to God in a way that I felt more personal and intimate than anything I had experienced before.

Also I met new friends and people from all paths of life, searching for the same answers, and we are blessed to receive helpful guidance and teaching from great facilitators. RCIA sessions have given me the knowledge of the Catholic faith to help me gain new insights and broaden my understanding.

Through my newfound faith, I found the strength to overcome challenges in life, I feel more connected to my family and people around me. I am filled with a sense of hope and gratitude that I never felt before. I believe that my life has changed. I am excited to continue to grow in my faith and share my love of God to others.
