BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — A Marriage Enrichment Experience (MEE) Follow-up and Workshop was held from 29-31 January at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Bandar Seri Begawan of the Apostolic Vicariate Brunei Darussalam. A total of 24 couples from the parishes of Kuala Belait, Seria and Bandar Seri Begawan attended the workshop. Most of the participants were those who attended the Bahasa Malaysia MEE held from 8-11 October 2009.
During the fellowship dinner at the end of the programme, Bishop Cornelius Sim thanked the Bahasa Malaysia MEE team made up of Mr and Mrs Michael Junim, and Mr and Mrs Anthonius Sindang from the Archdiocese of Kuching for their assistance in running the workshop. The workshop was to strengthen the Family Life Ministry, particularly the Bahasa Melayu Group, so that they would be more confident, committed and involved in the church.
Obviously, the workshop has been a great success. Bishop Cornelius Sim took the opportunity to invite the Bahasa Malaysia MEE team from Kuching once again to assist them in facilitating and organising the Family Life Seminar to be held sometime in September and MEE in October, which will be held in Seria, Brunei Darussalam.
