LUNDU — A Lenten Walk was organised by the eight Catholic chapels in the Batang Kayan Zone under the Holy Sprit Parish, on 9 March 2024.
The program started with celebration of Sunset Mass presided by Fr Davie Entalai at St Gregory’s Chapel, Kpg Selampit-Bitokan at 6.00 pm. The Lenten Walk commenced after Mass, with a procession along the 4-km road from St Gregory to St Clement, Kpg Perian.
The Stations of the Cross was recited along the way with the faithful carrying a 14-foot Cross. Parishioners from the eight different chapels took turns to carry the Cross.
The Walk concluded with a Benediction, followed by refreshments at St Clement’s Chapel at around 10.00 pm.
