KUCHING — On Tuesday, 1 April 2025, the Junior Legionaries from three Praesidia, namely OL Queen of Virgins, OL of the Star, and OL Comforter of Afflicted, made their way to the Catholic Memorial and Pilgrimage Centre (CMPC) at Singai.
This Lenten retreat brought together 54 junior members, teachers, senior members, and their families. It was a meaningful opportunity for reflection and fellowship during the holy season of Lent.
The retreat’s objectives were to provide the Junior Legionaries with spiritual input about the season of Lent and to offer a chance for the young Legionaries to connect with one another in a spirit of community. The one-day program was centered around prayer and reflection. The Legion prayers, along with the recitation of the Holy Rosary and the Catena, provided a moment of spiritual renewal for all participants. A sing-along followed, uplifting hearts in joyful worship.
Br Robert Teoh led a thoughtful Lenten reflection, encouraging deeper understanding of the season’s significance. The retreat culminated in a Holy Mass Celebrated by Kuching Comitum Spiritual Director, Fr Nicholas Ng at the Christ the King Chapel followed by the Legion Concluding Prayers at the chapel, strengthening the bonds of faith and camaraderie among all those present.
This retreat was a true blessing, fostering both spiritual growth and unity within the Junior Legionaries.
