KUCHING — Besides a series of talks and reflections on mission and evangelisation, 114 participants were introduced to FORMED on 17 August.
The reflections were delivered by the FORMED Team from Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur, led by Fr John Gnanapiragasam and his two assistants, Caroline Soon and Alistair. It was a Missionary Year initiative by the KL FORMED Team, in collaboration with Kuching Archdiocesan Faith Formation Team under the leadership of Fr Patrick Heng.
The Archdiocese of Kuching has subscribed to FORMED. Archbishop Simon Poh, who was present throughout the sessions, encouraged everyone – lay Catholics, catechists, and clergy alike – to sign up and use the resources in FORMED as widely and as much as they could.
FORMED is a subscription service offering access to thousands of studies, films, audios, and ebooks. It contains digital media from over 40 best Catholic content producers, including the Augustine Institute, Ignatius Press, the USCCB, Catholic Answers, EWTN, St Paul’s Centre, Marian Press, Sophia Press, Knights of Columbus, FOCUS, and many more.
FORMED can be accessed from its website (formed.org) and mobile apps (iOS and Android). It is not only a great tool for evangelisation, but also for the use of individual Catholics who would like to deepen their faith.
