KUCHING — EMPOWERED Ministry organised a Youth Gathering on Friday, 8 September with the theme “What is Praise and Worship”. Emmanuel, the session animator and leader of the Music Team, invited everyone in the session to reflect on what it means to sing and lift our voices to God and what it means to worship Him through our voices.
Emmanuel began the evening by sharing the difference between the act of praising God and the act of worshipping God, where praising comes from our thanksgiving and gratitude to God while worshipping comes from our adoration and deep desire for God. He further shared how singing and using music is just one of the ways to praise and worship God, especially in a community. Attendees of the gathering had the opportunity to learn the different movements one can do to give praise and worship to God. The session ended with a song of worship to give attendees the space to start giving worship to God through voices and music.
