KUCHING — On 16 January, St Joseph’s International School’s new prayer room and school hostel were blessed by Rev Fr Vincent Chin. The blessing was witnessed by Christopher Chua, the CEO of St Joseph’s Family of Schools, Br Robert Teoh, FMS, principal of the international school, and Fr Francis Lim, SJ, principal of the secondary school.
Other witnesses included Mildred Jong, headmistress of the primary school, Gerald Lee, former advisor of the Family of Schools, Br Dominador A. Santiago (Ador), FMS, the provincial of the Marist Brothers of East Asia, contributors, students and staff of St Joseph’s International School.
The prayer room, a former classroom, was refurbished into a room with a prayerful atmosphere. It will be used for religious study classes or extra-curricular activities like the Legion of Mary.
As for the school hostel, the first group of boarders moved into the school hostel on 3 February. The hostel is able to accommodate both male and female students. Those who are interested may contact the school office at 082-411575 / 550575 to speak to Br Robert Teoh, the school principal.
