SERIAN — The St. Theresa’s Parish Pastoral Council celebrated their priest, Fr. Pratap’s 3rd priestly ordination anniversary recently, after the Council’s monthly meeting.
Fr. Pratap Baskey is the eldest son of Mr. Paulus Baskey and the late Madam Mary Hembrom. He has an elder sister and two younger brothers and two younger sisters.
Fr Pratap hails from Tisro, Chandouri, Giridih, India. He joined the seminary in July 2002, at Claret Vidyaniketan, Ranchi and was ordained a priest on 10.04.2016 at Tilki Maran Parish.
He arrived on 06.11.2017 to serve in the Serian Parish. Besides English, he is able to communicate with the parishioners in simple Malay and Bidayuh. He is friendly and humble and well liked by the parishioners.
