Fr Jasery Gabuk breathes his last in Telupid

TELUPID Fr Jasery Emmanuel Gabuk of Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu has breathed his last today Aug 17 at 4.46pm in Telupid clinic. Before coming back to serve in Papar and Limbahau parish under the Archdiocese beginning this year, he was serving in the Diocese of Sandakan for 10 years at St Martin’s Parish here.

He passed away due to heart complications and breathing difficulty. He was 51.

When contacted, Archbishop John Wong of Kota Kinabalu said the remains of the late Fr Jasery will be placed in St Martin’s Church tonight.

He will be brought down to Kota Kinabalu tomorrow, to Sacred Heart Chapel for one night. The church will hold the Funeral Service on Thursday Aug 19 at 9.00 am, then to the cemetery thereafter.

During the wake at Sacred Heart Chapel, only priests and seminarians will be allowed to be present, adhering to strict SOP. Visitors are strictly not allowed to curb the spread of the pandemic.

Family members of the late Fr Jasery present for his funeral will only be allowed to be present for the burial ceremony at the cemetery.

May we pray for the repose soul of the late Fr Jasery Gabuk.

May he rest in peace.
