KUCHING — On 19 March 2023, St Joseph’s Cathedral (SJC) commemorated her Parish Feast Day during the 5.00 pm Sunday evening Mass at the Cathedral presided by Archbishop Simon Poh and concelebrated by Frs Nicholas Ng, Galvin Ngumbang and Mark Bonchol.
During this Mass, the SJC Parish Pastoral Council led by its Chairman, Stephen Chin took the opportunity to congratulate Archbishop Simon on his sixth anniversary as Archbishop of Kuching.
A beautiful ‘surprise’ anniversary cake was wheeled to the sanctuary by the altar servers to mark SJC Parish Feast Day as well as the Archbishop’s sixth anniversary as our Shepherd.
Archbishop Simon was installed the third Archbishop of Kuching on 20 March 2017 when he took Canonical Possession of the Archdiocese of Kuching.
After Mass, the Ushers and Greeters ministry (together with PPC members) helped to distribute water and packed nyonya ‘kuih’ to the parishioners.
