KUCHING — The Bread of Life Catholic Charismatic Covenant Community and SJC Counselling Centre came together to host a thought-provoking seminar titled “Understanding the Role of a Pastoral Caregiver & Who Can Give Pastoral Care?”
Held at the Mater Domini Auditorium, on 6 April, the event provided a deep dive into this essential ministry, with counsellors Nelly and Kimberly delivering enlightening presentations.
The seminar wasn’t just informative; it was also deeply moving. Participants shared their own experiences with pastoral care, showcasing the profound impact this ministry can have on individuals.
It was heartening to welcome seminarians from St Peter College, adding a sense of community and enriching our discussions.
Let’s carry the torch of compassion forward by:
1. Listening with our hearts to those God places in our path.
2. Identifying their immediate needs with empathy.
3. Responding with the love of Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
As St Mother Teresa of Calcutta wisely said, “Do small things with great love.” Together, let us continue nurturing a culture of care and kindness!
Everyone can be a Pastoral Caregiver!
