KUCHING — On 5 June 2022, Pentecost Sunday, 9 students from the Sunday School of St Peter’s Church were blessed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit when they received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Their Confirmation celebration was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with their catechism classes including the Life in the Spirit Seminar, only resuming in April 2022. The long-awaited Mass was presided by His Grace Archbishop Simon Poh, and attended only by close family members.
Archbishop Simon Poh reminded the students in his homily, to pray and to depend on the guidance of the Holy Spirit and to let the Holy Spirit be in control of their lives.
