KUCHING — The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) has conducted a total of 209 sanitisation operations throughout the state since March 30 to 5pm yesterday.
In a press statement, the department said the sanitisation works were carried out at 41 markets, supermarkets (9), places of worship (42), government buildings (54), housing areas (14), public areas (26), vehicles (19) and hotels (4).
In Kuching, sanitisation works were carried out at 77 locations, Kota Samarahan (11), Serian (1), Sri Aman (10), Betong (5), Sarikei (17), Sibu (3), Bintulu (13), Miri (55) and Limbang (17).
Yesterday, sanitisation works were carried out on eight buses which are used to transport passengers from the Kuching International Airport to designated hotels in the city to undergo quarantine.
Sanitisation was also carried out at the Borneo Evangelical Church, RTM complex, St Peter’s Church and the Islamic Information Centre in Kuching.
