KUCHING — Chapel of Mother Mary, Stutong celebrated Chinese New Year 2025 with a combined Mass on Wednesday, 29 January 2025 at 9.00 am.
The combined Mass in English and Mandarin was celebrated by Msgr William Sabang, rector of the Chapel.
This year, as in previous years, Chinese New Year Ang Pau was distributed to parishioners 60 years old and above as well as children 12 years old and below. However unlike previous years, teenagers, young adults and single adults were given a pleasant surprise as they were also included in the distribution of Chinese New Year Ang Pau.
Apart from Chinese New Year Ang Pau, blessed oranges were also distributed to parishioners. This brought lots of smiles to young and old alike.
