BAU — On 16 December 2023, the Parish Youth Ministry (PYM) of St Stephen’s Church, Bau organised an event called “Celebration of Joy”, which was a Christmas gathering cum parade with the theme: “For unto us, a child is born” (Isaiah 9:6), at Kampung Stass, Bau.
This was the first collaboration programme with AKAYA29 participants of St Stephen’s. 224 youths and parishioners from all zones in St Stephen’s Parish (Zones: Jagoi, Singai, Bratak, Krokong, Serumbu, and Bau Proper) attended this special event.
The event began with a Holy Mass followed by a parade, a potluck session, carolling, games, and prizes and awards-giving ceremony. All those who attended this event were very excited and happy to be able to join the event. It was a meaningful and memorable moment spent together as a solidarity community.
