BUNAN GEGA — In Care of our Common Home, St Jude’s Parish Bunan-Tebedu came together to commit and to celebrate Eco-Week from 1 to 6 April 2024.
We gathered in the Gethsemane Pilgrimage Centre, making an Ecological Pilgrimage every evening to pray and mark our care for our Common Home with the Holy Mass. The reflections of our Fathers Pratap, Galvin and Sr Catherine Uming, SSFS on various themes enlightened us to get closer again to our mother nature.
The presence of Archbishop Simon Poh for the celebration of Eco-Week on 6 April, empowered us to explore our traditional, cultural and historical values of our life in the Kampong and to make our Eco-Synodal journey together with the vision and mission of our Kuching Archdiocese.
After the Holy Mass with Archbishop Simon Poh, we had the planting of trees and blessing of new rice, seeds and the tools used for our farming, as a sign of our ecological commitments.
Come, let us join our hands for God’s greater cause of creating New Heaven and New Earth.
