KUCHING — On 4 January 2025, the St Joseph Conference of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP SJC), working jointly with the Lions Club of Kuching City, hosted a Chinese New Year 2025 Ang Pow giveaway event for a group of ten (10) families of selected friends-in-need (FIN). The Lions Club has been a long time partner with SSVP SJC for this annual event.
This year, the event was held at the St John’s room, ACCPC building at 9.30 am. In addition to the customary ‘ang pow’ hand over ceremony, the FIN families were also given goodies in the form of dry food items and a box of Chinese New Year oranges to take home. Everything was sponsored by the Lions Club.
