ACS elects Archbishop Simon Poh as new Chairman

ACS 5th Biennial General Meeting at the Christian Ecumenical Worship Centre.

KUCHING — The Association of Churches in Sarawak (ACS) at its 5th Biennial General Meeting, elected Archbishop Simon Poh of the Archdiocese of Kuching, as the chairman of the new executive committee.

The meeting, held on 23 March at the Christian Ecumenical Worship Centre, was attended by the Heads of Churches of Sarawak, leaders and representatives of the ACS regional branches in Sarawak.

The line-up for the new 2019-2020 executive committee, and committee members are as follows:
Chairman: Archbishop Simon Poh (Catholic Church)
Deputy Chairman: Bishop Danald Jute (Anglican Bishop of Kuching)
Vice Chairman: Peter Wong (Catholic Church)
Honorary Secretary: Elder Ambrose Linang (Seventh Day Adventist)
Honorary Treasurer: Ronnie Hii Ru Wei (Methodist Church)
