A total of 50 participants attended, each eager to deepen their understanding of their roles and responsibilities within the liturgical community.
The recollection began with an opening prayer and a welcoming address by Rev Fr Henry Anak Jimbey, who emphasised the vital role of wardens in maintaining order and reverence during liturgical celebrations. He encouraged everyone to serve with humility, patience, and dedication, reminding them to reflect Christ’s love through their ministry.
The programme continued with a series of insightful spiritual talks and sharing sessions, led by Fr Henry. The talks focused on key themes such as servant leadership, spiritual discipline, and the sacred significance of their ministry.
Participants engaged in small group discussions, where they exchanged personal experiences and insights, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among the various parish communities.

A highlight of the recollection was the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr Henry. During his homily, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the wardens for their dedication and service. He reminded them that their role transcends mere functionality, serving as a spiritual cornerstone that contributes to the reverent and orderly celebration of the Mass.

As the event concluded, each participant received a “necktie” – a symbolic token of their unity, dedication, and shared mission in serving the Church. This gesture served as a reminder of their commitment to their ministry and the collective bond they share in their service to God and the community.
With hearts renewed and spirits uplifted, the wardens and parishioners departed from the recollection programme, inspired to continue their mission with greater faithfulness, humility, and joy. The event not only deepened their spiritual foundation but also reinforced their shared commitment to serve with love and devotion in the years to come.
