PETALING JAYA — On Saturday 20 July, leaders from Holy Cross Ministry of Deliverance & Healing, Kuching, ran a full day workshop comprising of 4 “final sessions” related to the power of the Holy Spirit, at Assumption Church Parish Centre, Petaling Jaya.

The programme was approved by Assumption Church Rector, Rev Fr Gregory Chan, who also graciously gave a welcoming speech to the participants.

Participants were mainly from St Thomas More Church and Assumption Church, USJ/ Subang Jaya, and Petaling Jaya respectively. Prior to the weekend’s sessions, the participants, about a hundred of them, had already attended 17 weekly sessions, over a period of four months in their respective parishes, watching Holy Cross Faith Formation DVDs, each session running for about 45 minutes long.

The whole programme, entitled “Walking & Growing in the Love and Power of Jesus” is primarily focused on spiritual growth, developing a deep personal relationship with Jesus, spiritual warfare, deliverance, healing, gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Upon request from organisers, a deliverance and healing session was also conducted for all participants towards the end of the afternoon.

The same programme continues to be presented “live” annually, over a 6 – months period (instead of through DVDs), for more than a decade at St Joseph’s Cathedral Parish Centre, Kuching.

Matthew Goh and his team of prayer group members organised and coordinated from Assumption Church, while Andrew Chin and his team coordinated from St Thomas More Church.
