KUCHING — ST JOSEPH’S PARISH LADIES GUILD held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 15 February 2025 at St Augustine’s AVA Auditorium, Parish Centre.
42 members attended and the Meeting was also graced with the presence of Fr Nicholas Ng (Parish Rector) and Sr Stella Tan (Spiritual Directress of the Ladies Guild).
Chairlady Rose Khoo-Iwanaga briefed the members on the activities for 2024 and some of the activities planned for 2025, among which is the Lenten Recollection on 22-23 March at the Union Yes Retreat and Training Centre, Lundu. The Theme will be “The Voice of Hope” and Fr Patrick Heng has agreed to lead this Lenten Recollection.
Fr Nicholas Ng, in his address, mentioned that for this Jubilee Year of Hope, the Ladies Guild could include in its activities, a Pilgrimage to one of the 5 Designated Pilgrimage Sites in the Archdiocese of Kuching. Chairlady Rose reiterated that the Guild will organise this Pilgrimage in the second half of the year 2025 and members will be informed of this at a later date.
The AGM ended with a fellowship lunch.
