By Christ the King OCDS community
KUCHING — This Christmas, the Carmelite nuns and Christ the King OCDS community had the privilege of gathering to celebrate the joyous occasion. The atmosphere was filled with peace, warmth, and a deep sense of devotion as we came together to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
The event began with a heartfelt fellowship, invoking blessings for peace and goodwill. The simplicity and reverence of the ceremony reminded everyone present of the spiritual significance of the season.
The fellowship emphasised the importance of charity, love, and service to others, especially during this time of year. It was both inspiring and humbling, reminding us all of the importance of giving, not just in material ways but also through acts of kindness, sharing compassion, and forgiveness.
The gathering included a carolling session, sung with love and joy. There was laughter, as the OCD nuns and OCDS members sang beloved carols, their voices blending beautifully in the spirit of unity, joy, peace and with the vision of HOPE to journey together in this year of JUBILEE 2025 with our Holy Mother Catholic Church.
The gathering was purely a session of deepening bonds of friendship and spiritual connection, concluding with the song Feliz Navidad, thanking God for the gift of Christ and an enriching experience of bond of unity between OCDS and OCD nuns. Being one family of the DISCALCED CARMELITES ORDER is a significant blessing of GOD to journey with the Archdiocese of Kuching, in this year of HOPE, JUBILEE 2025.
