KUCHING — St Peter’s Church (SPC) recently celebrated the conclusion of its Sunday School lessons, marking significant spiritual milestones for young parishioners. Fifteen students received their First Holy Communion on 6 October 2024.

During the First Holy Communion Mass, the first communicants and children’s choir surprised Fr Vincent Chin with a bouquet of flowers and a heartfelt hymn, commemorating his 39th anniversary of priesthood.

On 19 October 2024, 54 others were confirmed in the Sacrament of Confirmation together with RCIA catechumens from Our Lady Star of the Sea, Bintawa. The Confirmation Mass, presided by Archbishop Simon Poh, was a profound reminder of the journey of faith. He emphasised to the confirmands that they are now sealed with the Holy Spirit, encouraging them to embody the fruits of the Spirit in their lives.

Following the Mass, parishioners gathered for a fellowship celebration, honouring both the occasion and the 23rd anniversary of SPC’s Faith Formation for Children programme. The day concluded with a sense of joy and renewed commitment to faith and community.
