KUCHING — The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was celebrated this year on 15 August 2024. On this Holy Day of Obligation, we celebrate the bodily taking up of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven at the end of her earthly life.
Churches and chapels celebrated this solemnity with several Masses. Sunset Masses were held on 14 August.
