By St Joseph’s Family of Schools (SJFS)

KUCHING — The 28th National SPM Bible Quiz’s Kuching Regional Quiz unfolded with vibrant enthusiasm and dedication on 27 July 2024 at St Joseph’s Private Secondary School. The event, held in the Grand Atrium, began with a solemn opening prayer led by Fr Stanley Goh, SJ, the organising chairperson. This was followed by a welcoming speech from Mr Thomas Huo, Chairman of the Federation of Christian Mission Schools in Malaysia (FCMSM), who set the tone for a day of competitive and spiritually enriching activities.

The Young Christian Students (YCS) of SMK St Joseph’s led the young people into a short praise and worship session to remind the young people that Jesus is in the centre of this event. The students were then ushered to classrooms where they attempted a written test on the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. After a short break, they gathered again in their teams for the next parts of the oral quiz.

The competition was intense, with 59 teams battling through a series of challenging questions. The top five teams emerged victorious, securing their places in the Finals of the 28th National Bible Quiz, which will be held on 24 August 2024 at SMK St Joseph, Kuching, Sarawak.
