Archdiocese KK’s Biblical Commission kickstarts July Bible Month

The Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu’s Biblical Commission

KOTA KINABALU — The Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu’s Biblical Commission geared up for the July Bible Month with a meeting with 110 participants from Parish Biblical Committees at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, June 3 with the theme “Remain in My Word.” (Jn 8:31).

Apart from discussing about the launching gimmick of the Bible Month, the gathering also discussed about some activities planned for the whole month of July. The Parish Biblical Committees were encouraged to organize Bible Month, Bible Knowledge project for the Sunday Faith Formation Students, Family Prayer with Gospel sharing and Biblical Seminar on Salvation History of Mark.

Fr Paul Lo as Head of the Commission, during his presentation has shared the importance of reading the Bible in daily life. Fr Paul also invited the Chairman of the KK Archdiocesan Pastoral Council, Anthony Lim, to share on Spiritual Conversation in Two Fundamental Movements; Listening with the Heart and Speaking from the Heart.

After listening attentively to Fr Paul and Anthony’s presentation, all participants were divided into groups to further reflect and share the Gospel reading (Mk 3: 20-35). At the end of the fruitful meeting, Fr Paul summarized the purposes of the gathering.

The meeting concluded with Thanksgiving Mass at the Church, followed by luncheon fellowship.
