KOTA PADAWAN — The St Ann, Kota Padawan Mother’s Day is a cherished occasion to honour the remarkable women who had nurtured and guided us. Among these revered figures, our Blessed Mother Mary holds a special place in the hearts of the faithful. The Chinese Community initiated the flower sale activity in the parish. The flowers were not only for sale to the mothers, but also to act as an offering to the Blessed Mother Mary.
One of the most heartfelt ways to honour her on this special day was through the simple yet profound act of offering a rose. This activity, “One Rose, One Heart,” symbolises our love, devotion, and gratitude to Mary, the ultimate embodiment of maternal love and compassion. This activity involved everyone in the St Ann parish which included our Rector Fr Don Don Ramerez, OFM and Fr Joseph Lee, OFM. Each member can offer a rose, making it a collective act of devotion.
The “One Rose, One Heart” flower sale activity on Mother’s Day is a profound way to deepen our spiritual connection with Mary. This act of love and reverence not only honours Mary but also enriches our own spiritual life. It can be a deeply personal moment of reflection and prayer, as well as a communal act that fosters unity within the parish.
