KUCHING — Over the weekend (4–5 May), 16 children from the Faith Formation of Children at St Peter’s Church underwent a comprehensive yet fun-filled education and training to prepare for their First Confession and in the later months, their First Holy Communion.
The children also learnt about praying the rosary, the mysteries and the order of the Mass. The children were invited to the Church to understand the parts of the Church and the sanctuary furnishings for Holy Mass.
The two-day programme concluded with the children attending Sunday evening Mass presided by Fr Ramon Borja, SDB who praised the children for their motivation to learn more about Jesus. He also applauded the faith formators for their commitment and dedication in educating valuable catechism knowledge to the children.
Parents showed their encouragement to their children by joining the Sunday Mass.
