KUCHING — As part of the Faith Formation for Children (FFC) Programme, St Peter’s Church, Padungan conducted their annual Life in the Spirit Seminar (LSS) for all Form 4 youths from the Sunday school, with compulsory attendance.

Organised in collaboration with Emmaus Servant Community of Blessed Sacrament Church, the seminar prepared youths for the Sacrament of Confirmation over the course of three-days, two-nights (22-24 March 2019).

The seminar began with an opening address by the Church Rector, Fr Vincent Chin, followed by praise & worship and an insight into topics such as Sin, the Holy Spirit and God’s love.

More than 20 youths experienced being touched by the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues as well as praying as a community.

All participants also had to go through a personal counselling session, and to go for confession.

The sharing of testimonies from the youths to their confirmation sponsors, followed by a closing address by Michael Hii, Chairman of St Peter’s FFC, brought the seminar to a close.

The LSS serves as an integral part of the FFC Programme at St Peter’s Church, and has been conducted since 2008.
