SIBU The Catholic Church Neocatechumenal Way community organised an ‘Epiphany Show’ to showcase the meaning of Christmas at St Teresa Chapel, Sungai Merah on 7 January 2024.

James Lau, Chief Responsible of Neocatechumenal Way, said the show was an annual celebration of the community to transmit faith to the children.

“Tonight, we will bring you back to 12 scenes in the history of Salvation, to help you appreciate the real meaning of Christmas, of the history that God has done with humanity. This is our history,” he told the visitors who came to watch the show.

About 120 people attended the play. Also present was Neocatechumenal Way Rev Fr Edward Raymond.

He also pointed out that to appreciate Epiphany, Christians must begin with Genesis.

Lau said that about 50 people, including children were involved in the play. The team spent two months preparing for the play.

Fr Edward said such plays are great ways to catechise the children in helping them to understand the Christian faith.

The play ended with a buffet dinner.
