KUCHING — On 23 September 2023, 15 students received the Sacrament of Baptism, and three students received full communion into the Catholic Church (Rite of Reception) from the parish rector of Blessed Sacrament Church, Fr Leonard Yap.
The nine boys and nine girls aged 7-15 years, were prepared for this event by facilitators from the Faith Formation Committee (BFFC) Sunday School English Session.
Fr Leonard Yap in his homily, emphasised the role of parents as their children’s first catechists and being the ones to send their children to Church and to Sunday school. Parents should help to guide them in their Catholic faith journey and not leave this task just to their faith facilitators.
