KOTA KINABALU — CHARIS Malaysia National Service of Communion (NSC) held its 2nd Annual General Meeting on 25 October 2023 at the Archbishop’s residence, Vianney House, Kota Kinabalu.
In attendance was Cardinal Sebastian Francis, the outgoing Episcopal Advisor to CHARIS Malaysia. He handed over the position to Archbishop John Wong Soo Kau from the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu.
CHARIS Malaysia was created following the call of the Holy Father, Pope Francis to bring all faithful into an encounter with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, unity amongst the faithful and to be of service to the poor and marginalised.
During this meeting, the National Service of Communion working team was also elected for the 2023-2026 term. Bro Anthony Lim of the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu was elected as the Coordinator, together with the other team members representing the other Arch/Dioceses. Co-opted into were representatives from the youth, prophetic intercessors and women.
