KOTA SENTOSA Sacred Heart Church (SHC) Kota Sentosa Fiesta 2023, which was held on 2 and 3 September, received encouraging support from the parishioners. The objectives of this event were to generate funds for the development of the church and to promote communion among the parishioners.

The Fiesta started off with an opening speech and prayer from SHC rector, Fr Felix Au and was then officiated by YB Wilfred Yap together with the representative from Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR), Elder Ambrose Linang. SHC also received a grant of RM700,000.00 from UNIFOR for church developments.

The event featured 48 stalls that offered items such as food, drinks, local delicacies, plants and clothes. There were also stalls promoting local agency services such as tourism and health check-ups. Not forgetting the SHC Multimedia Ministry who offered instant photography services for the parishioners to immortalise this event.

Besides the sale of goods and services, the programme for SHC Fiesta 2023 was also packed with colouring competition (children’s category), busking, choir performance, karaoke, and lucky draw.

The SHC choir group also performed a song created by the group entitled “Bersatu dalam Kasih Yesus”. The highlight of the fiesta was the lucky draw event, which was held on the second day. The 2-day event concluded with a closing speech and prayer by the rector of SHC.

In gratitude to God for the success of the fiesta, Fr Felix Au expressed his heartfelt thanks to God for the blessing, the committee’s efforts, and support from the YBs, parishioners, and all of our patrons for the success of this event to build our parish community.
