MIRI — The St Joseph Cathedral Hospital Ministry recently held a simple gathering at the Holy Rosary Chapel hall in Piasau residential estate to celebrate the joyful occasion. Fr Philip presided at the celebratory Mass for the more than 200 guests before the gathering.
Fr Philip is the patron for the Church’s Hospital Ministry that helps to look after the spiritual and material needs of poor sickly people in the Miri Hospital and in the homes. He had served in various parishes in Miri before his current post in St Joseph’s Cathedral, Miri where he is assisting Bishop Richard Ng.
The parishioners of Miri Diocese thanked Fr Philip for his 40 years of dedicated service to the church and the parishioners.
