KUCHING — A Holy Eucharistic Mass was celebrated by His Grace, Archbishop Simon Poh and concelebrated by Fr Joseph Liew (rector), Fr Eugenio Gocela Maglasang, and Fr Patrick Heng (past rector) on 26 November 2022, to commemorate the 50th Golden Jubilee of Holy Trinity Church, Kuching.
The celebration continued with a grand Thanksgiving dinner held at Grand Riverine Ballroom on 27 November, organised by the Holy Trinity Parish Pastoral Council.
Many performances were presented by the different lay organisations to entertain the audience. The highlight of the night was the cutting of the jubilee cake graced by Archbishop Simon Poh, Archbishop Emeritus Peter Chung and Archbishop Emeritus John Ha.
The 50 Years of Grace celebration was truly a memorable way of reminiscing the past, recognising the contributions of all individuals and groups who have been involved with the church and its missions over the past five decades.
It was also a call for both missionaries and lay people to reflect on their present mission and to rise up to forthcoming vocations.
