BAU — EMPOWERED Ministry organised a day outing to Singai, Bau on 5 November 2022, Saturday for a time of fellowship and relaxation.
Approximately 30 youths and family members gathered at the St Joseph’s Cathedral parish gallery for a briefing before setting out to Bung Bratak, Bau.
The hike was led by senior ministry members who brought the group up the mountain for a rewarding and magnificent view from the Bung Bratak Heritage Centre. The youths spent approximately an hour there before heading for lunch at a home in Singai.
Whilst the majority of the group went to Bung Bratak, another group of senior ministry members prepared BBQ lunch and other homecooked delicacies. Some youths were also exposed to helping out with meal prep for the first time.
For the second half of the day, the youths had a time of fellowship and bonding over food, cooking, sharing with another and playing board games.
The gathering ended at 4.30 pm.
